French Art / Painting Weekend 15/16 May 2010 Come and join the 11th year of France's, Lucq de Bearn, annual art competition open to all abilities from  beginners and 'Sunday afternoon' painters to international artists alike. The weekend comprises great accommodation, great food & drink plus the opportunity to join with dozens of other artists on Saturday and Sunday to paint anything in Lucq village which comprises 5000 hectares/20sqkm. Your subject can be anything which represents the village of Lucq.. a landscape, a building, a still life, a garden, etc in a medium of your choice. 3 Day All-Inclusive Package Price as shown is from £215 pp. (Excludes flights and transportation) Ryanair offers airfares from just a few pounds to nearby Pau or Biarritz.  All major car rental companies available at the airports.  If you require transportation please enquire for pricing.
Listed Church & Ruined Monastic Tower	The Weekend Painting Schedule Friday - relax or go site-seeing to the nearby historic towns of Navarrenx or Monein or visit the boulevards of Pau or coastal resorts of Biarritz or St Jean de Luz. Welcome Evening Drink & Dinner Saturday - Painting continues throughout the day until 6pm. Evening relax and dinner Sunday Painting restarts. All paintings must be finished by lunchtime when a traditional festival meal is held in the shade across from the 11th century church in the village centre. The committee and visiting public then view all the paintings from which the winners are chosen. Evening Farewell drinks and Paella supper. There is a vide grenier/bric-a-brac sale on Sunday in the streets and village hall which attracts many additional visitors. Many village gardens are open as well.
