Les Vieux Chenes  built c1700 in typical Bearnaise style. It is set in 4 acres and commands excellent views over the high pyrenees, basque mountains and the Pau valley. It comprises 4 good-sized bedrooms for up to 8 persons, all have very good quality,comfortable mattresses & linens and excellent views of the Pyrenees mountains Opera - King sized bed with ensuite shower & WC, large wardrobe, dressing table Theatre - Twin (two small antique doubles- 120cm/4ft) wardrobe, chest of drawers Cinema - Double, pretty, beamed room, built in wardrobe Gallerie - Twin, beamed, with ensuite bath & WC, built in wardrobe They have bedside lights, additional armchairs or chairs and fans for those warm summer nights. Additional large family bathroom with bath, shower, handbasin and WC. Downstairs provides: KITCHEN with fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster along all the normal kitchen utensils, DINING AREA with large farmhouse table & chairs SITTING AREA, sofas, fireplace and piano. Central heating WIFI (Internet) Satellite flat screen TV & Hifi system (CD & radio) which takes MP3 input as well offering English Freeview channels, CNN, France24  All linen, towels (incl swimming in season) and heating (in the winter) are included in the price - there are no hidden extras. Terrace with BBQ and a large private garden overlooking Pyrenees where you can enjoy a glass of the local Jurancon wine as the sun goes down. A great place to read or doze in the shade of an old oak tree. Plenty of parking. Very large (14m x 6m including the steps), IN-GROUND POOL with large roman steps and terrace area from where you can watch the buzzards circling the valley, or gaze over the Pyrenees. The pool is alarmed to comply with French law and entered via a gate (kept closed) in the old garden wall. An extensive welcome pack is provided to those on a self-catering option to include for example: a bottle of wine, sparkling mineral water, pate & toasts, olives/crisps, biscuits, local farm eggs, tea, coffee and milk.
