Les Vieux Chenes originates from the 18th century and is built in typical Bearnaise style. It is set in 4 acres and commands excellent views over the high pyrenees, basque mountains and the Pau valley. It comprises 4 good-sized bedrooms for up to 8 persons, all have very good quality,comfortable mattresses
Opera - Double bed with ensuite shower & WC, large built-in wardrobe, dressing table
Theatre - Twin (two small antique doubles), chest of drawers
Cinema - Double, pretty, beamed room, built in wardrobe
Gallerie - Twin, beamed, with ensuite bath & WC, built in wardrobe
All bedrooms have excellent views of the Pyrenees mountains. An extra bed can be added to Opera and Cinema at a small additional cost. They also have bedside lights, additional armchairs or chairs and fans for those warm summer nights. Additionally, there is a large family bathroom with bath, shower, handbasin and WC.
Downstairs provides:
KITCHEN with fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster along all the normal kitchen utensils,
DINING AREA with large farmhouse table & chairs
SITTING AREA, sofas, fireplace and piano.

Outside there is a terrace with BBQ and a large private garden overlooking Pyrenees where you can enjoy a glass of the local Jurancon wine as the sun goes down. A great place to read or doze in the shade of an old oak tree. There is plenty of parking.
There is a very large (14m x 6m including the steps), IN-GROUND POOL with large roman steps and terrace area from where you can watch the buzzards circling the valley, or gaze over the Pyrenees. The pool is alarmed to comply with French law and entered via a gate (kept closed) in the old garden wall.
A welcome pack is provided. For those self-catering a BBQ or prepared dishes 3 course evening meal to include all food and wine, beer and juices can be booked for your night of your arrival at 15 Euros/£12 per adult and 9 Euros/£7 per child under 9.
